Thierry De Mey’s compositions, installations and dance films spring primarily from his intuitive sense of movement; his productions are experimental and genre-defying. He collaborates with choreographers such as Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Wim Vandekeybus. De Mey’s work is performed by ensembles including the London Sinfonietta and Ensemble Modern and it has appeared at various festivals, the Venice and Lyon biennales, numerous museums and other venues. Drawing on his wide-ranging experience and extensive oeuvre, Thierry De Mey will discuss how a variety of artistic disciplines can be brought together in dance film.
Thierry de Mey is one of the artistic directors of Charleroi Danses.

Filmmakers and choreographers wishing to attend should send an email to pointtaken@mediafonds.nl
Participation is free of charge.
