The Entry Call for Cinedans FEST '26 and the International Short Film Competition is now open!
Please note that submissions for Cinedans FEST '25 and the International Student Competition are no longer possible.

Welcome to Cinedans!


Currently, we accept films for Cinedans FEST 2026.


Cinedans has two distinct festival editions. In the even years, we organise a large showcase festival that includes the International Short Film Competition. In odd years, we focus on the "Practice & Potential" edition that includes the International Student Competition and prioritises reflection, development and discourse.


Our Entry Call is now open for Cinedans FEST '26 which includes the International Short Film Competition. You can submit films in two categories: 

- International Short Film Competition: short films up to 25min (submission fee €20)

- Out of Competition: films longer than 25min, features, documentaries (any length), installations, stereoscopic films, VR films and other project proposals. (no submission fee)


Please note that Dutch productions up to 25min are considered for both the New Dutch '26 section (out of competition) and the International Competition '26. It is up to the selection committee to decide on the final category placement of the film. 


DEADLINE: 1st of May 2025

The 22nd edition of Cinedans FEST will take place 25-29 March 2026. The upcoming 21st edition of Cinedans FEST will happen 20-23 March 2025 at Eye Filmmuseum, Amsterdam.
