We are happy to invite you to participate in the Professional Program of Cinedans FEST '25! 

This year, Moving Media Lab and Cinedans organise the symposium Navigating the In-Between. This performative symposium, taking place on March 20 & 21, invites artists, thinkers, creative technologists, funding bodies, and audiences into a shared space to explore the evolving landscape of artistic practices that exist outside traditional frameworks. Together we explore new models for funding and sustaining art that reflect our current realities and look toward more inclusive structures. The program will include presentations of the research findings from Moving Media Lab’s collectives and expands through physical activities, round tables, performances, and panel discussions to map and engage with practices that often fall “in the cracks” of existing systems, yet hold potential for transformative cultural impact. 

On Day 1, we focus on the future of art-making infrastructures. Dive into conversations with international guests, encounter cutting-edge ideas from Moving Media Lab’s collectives, and engage in physical and participatory activities. From panel talks with leading innovators to roundtable discussions on alternative funding models, this day is for reimagining how we sustain and support art practices that challenge conventions.

Day 2 shifts the focus to collaboration and interdisciplinarity. Through artist-scholar dialogues, showcases of collaborative projects, and a presentation of a digital publication, we’ll explore the body as a site of connection and discovery. Interactive sessions will uncover how disciplines collide and merge, offering new perspectives on working together in meaningful ways.

The symposium is with free entry but requires registration before the 10th of March 2025.
