Are you a student in an art institution in the Netherlands or abroad? And are you developing a dance film/installation or media project that could use an expert’s eye to elevate it to the next level?

Cinedans invites students to submit their new project proposals in which dance and movement form the leading narrative. Five projects will be selected and the invited makers will get the chance to pitch their plan to industry professionals during Cinedans FEST in March ’25. The selected makers will also receive an online preparatory session to practice their pitch, led by film historian and educator Helen Westerik.

The winner of the Cinedans Student Pitch will win a prize of €500,- and receive advise for the development of their plan.

Requirements:

-       Students in the 3rd or 4th year of their BA study, or last year of their MA program, in a Dutch based institution of any art discipline are eligible for applying.

-       International students are welcome to apply but if selected, physical presence in the Pitch session is mandatory.

-       Project proposals can include film, installation and any kind of (interdisciplinary) media. It is essential that your project includes dance or choreography as a leading component.

– CV & Portfolio of your already existing work

– Proposal max. 4 pages (including a description of the project, current status, future plans and, if available, audiovisual material) .
