MOVING MEDIA LAB (MML)

What is Moving Media Lab?

MML is a space for creatives in the arts, design, and science who explore the relationship between new technologies, movement, and the body. With a focus on knowledge exchange across disciplines, it fosters innovative research and interdisciplinary creative practices. Fifteen makers based in the Netherlands were selected for this trajectory. Coming from diverse fields—including sound, sculpture, film, dance, architecture, and technology—they formed four non-hierarchical ‘temporary collectives’ through dialogue and discussion. These groups, defined by their varied expertise and skills, united around shared questions, interests, and ideas to embark on collaborative research projects.

1. Open House: Moving Media Lab | 23 March 12:30 - 14:30

Join us for a guided tour through the four research projects of Moving Media Lab. Explore their final presentations across festival locations, engage with the makers, and gain insight into their creative processes.

2. Performative Symposium: Navigating the In-Between | 20 & 21 March 10:00 - 17:30

This symposium brings together artists, technologists, and funders to explore artistic practices beyond traditional frameworks. Through discussions, performances, and roundtables, we’ll rethink funding models, audience roles, and technology’s place as a creative partner. Featuring research from Moving Media Lab’s collectives, the event maps emerging practices with transformative cultural potential.

Yes, you can purchase tickets through the Ticket Shop.

MML open house is a tour of the makers' projects which will be located all around the festival venue. We meet audiences to begin this tour on the staircase in the Eye Arena. Don’t forget to arrive on time!
