Cinedans FEST '25 will take place from March 20 to 23 at the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam, A LAB, Tolhuistuin / Solidground and online from March 21 to 30 on Cinedans WEB.

In this 21st Practice & Potential edition of the festival, a unique program is presented that celebrates the dynamism and power of dance and film, giving new talent, as well as cross-disciplinary and innovative works, a platform.
For three days, Cinedans will showcase the state of the art in dancefilm with the International Student Competition, featuring the presentation of the Cinedans Student Award sponsored by CANON, the latest homegrown films in two New Dutch programs, special thematic programs, the newest VR projects, and exceptional documentaries and premieres.
The dance films in this edition highlight current topics such as gender, identity, transgressive behavior in the dance world, and the body in relation to the political sphere. These urgent films tackle global, profoundly human, and societal themes, offering room for reflection and evoking deep emotion through the universal language of dance.
Cinedans proudly present the campaign image from the latest film WEST by Thomas Bos & Erik Bos from the dance company 155 (eenvijfvijf). WEST will premiere during the Special Program, The Body Doesn't Lie, a curated program by Thomas Bos.
