Cinedans FEST '25 will take place from March 20 to 23 at the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam, A-LAB, and online from March 20 to 30 on Cinedans WEB. Go through the program and purchase tickets here:
In this 21st Practice & Potential edition of the festival, a unique program is presented that celebrates the dynamism and power of dance and film, giving new talent, as well as cross-disciplinary and innovative works, a platform.
For three days, Cinedans will showcase the state of the art in dancefilm with the International Student Competition, featuring the presentation of the Cinedans Student Award sponsored by CANON, the latest homegrown films in two New Dutch programs, special thematic programs, the newest VR projects, and exceptional documentaries and premieres.
The dance films in this edition highlight current topics such as gender, identity, transgressive behavior in the dance world, and the body in relation to the political sphere. These urgent films tackle global, profoundly human, and societal themes, offering room for reflection and evoking deep emotion through the universal language of dance.
Cinedans is proud to present our campaign image from the film WEST by Thomas Bos & Erik Bos from the dance company 155 (eenvijfvijf). WEST will premiere during this program, taking you on a motorbike dance ride from The Netherlands to Ghana!
