Cinedans FEST '26
Are you a professional makers with a background in movement and/or filmmaking and have the ambition to elevate your skills? Sign up now for the Cinedans LAB Dance and Camera Workshop, happening on the 28th March from 10:00 - 18:00 at Eye Filmmuseum Amsterdam.
This workshop dives into the fundamentals of filming dance, from camera techniques and cinematic storytelling to choreography, concept development, filming and final editing. Participants will be led by the Emerging Artists: Choreographer and Movement Director Sara Europaeus and Videographer Steven Elbers, who will share their experiences at the intersection of Dance and Camera, and guide participants into how movement and the body can be meaningfully used on film and what role the camera plays in this.
This workshop cost’s €50 to take part, if you are unable to pay please email laura@cinedans.nl
Deadline for submissions: With a limited number of spots, we are taking applications on a first come first serve basis.
Open Call for Cinedans LAB Pitch
Cinedans FEST '26
Do you have an innovative original idea for a project in which dance and movement form the leading narrative and could benefit from some advice or support? Then sign up now for the Cinedans LAB Pitch where five professional makers will be invited to present their ideas to programmers and producers in the field, and win a prize of €1000 for the development of their plan. The Pitch will take place on 27th March from 13:30 – 15:00 at EYE Filmmuseum Amsterdam.

The Entry Call for Cinedans FEST '26 and the International Short Film Competition is now open!
You can submit films in two categories:
- International Short Film Competition: short films up to 25min (submission fee €20)
- Out of Competition: films longer than 25min, features, documentaries (any length), installations, stereoscopic films, VR films and other project proposals. (no submission fee)
Deadline for submissions: May 1st 2025
